SENTRY BARRACKS

The Northern Garrison Barracks, located on 9 Chestnut Road, was one of the first buildings completed following the purchase of Grenrill.  Until the establishment of this barracks, each sentry had to commit to a nomadic lifestyle, never calling a particular place home.  The stability of having a military headquarters in the still downs of Bree-land raised company morale and significantly increased efficiency.  Officers now have the capability to effectively regulate training exercises and patrol assignments.  Additionally, the recent economic and cultural growth of Grenrill has better equipped sentries for municipal military service.

RENOWNED SENTRIES

SENTRY UNIFORMS

The official northern garrison uniform, pictured lower-left, is to be worn by sentries while on duty.   Standard issue includes four pieces: a chainmail hauberk, reinforced leather gloves, leather boots, and a hoodless black cloak.  The Lord Commander and Marshalls are often seen bearing a single-shoulder pauldron so that they may be recognized on the field of battle.  The uniform is designed to be absent of color to honour the symbolic unification of the diverse company.  Bearing this ensemble does not make one a sentry; only those who are currently enlisted in the Northern Garrison will be recognized as sentries.
